Background and Experience
Browning Smith was born and raised in Russellville, KY. After graduating from Russellville High School, he attended Transylvania University, where he earned a degree in Biology. He then received his acupuncture training and doctorate degree at Daoist Traditions in Asheville, NC. Browning is grateful to have received direct instruction and teaching from Jeffery Yuen, Evan Rabinowitz, and Randine Lewis during his time in acupuncture school.
Browning emphasizes a classical approach to Chinese Medicine and often employs the methods of the Fire Spirit School of Chinese Herbal Medicine. While respecting the historical roots of Chinese Medicine, he maintains a flexible practice appropriate for our modern setting. He utilizes 5 channel systems in his acupuncture practice and is experienced in the use of custom herbal formulas as well.
